By Malene Birger for women - Scandinavian design

By Malene Birger is a Danish design brand founded in 2003 by Malene Birger. The brand combines Scandinavian minimalism with an artistic feel and considered details. At Nelly, you'll find a curated selection of By Malene Birger accessories, with a particular focus on bags in timeless colours and practical sizes. The understated designs work just as well with relaxed everyday looks as they do with more dressed-up outfits.

Bags, wash bags and scarves

The By Malene Birger collection includes accessories for different occasions:

Tote bags with plenty of room for everyday essentials
Handbags with handles and clean shapes
Shoulder bags that sit close to the body
Clutches and envelope bags for smaller essentials
Wash bags and makeup bags for home and travel
Scarves to complete your outfit
Wallets and card holders in compact sizes

Choose from black, dark brown, grey and light neutral shades that are easy to combine with the rest of your wardrobe.

Find the right accessory for your plans

Start with size and function when choosing a bag. A roomy tote works well for school, work or travel when you need space for a laptop, water bottle and wash bag. A smaller handbag or shoulder bag is a convenient choice for days in the city, while a clutch is ideal when you only want to carry your phone, cards and keys.

Check the fastening, handles, shoulder strap and number of compartments too. An adjustable strap gives you more flexibility, while inside pockets help keep things organised. Many By Malene Birger bags feature a distinctive monogram and a textured finish. Always check the product information and follow the care instructions for the specific material.

How to style By Malene Birger

Pair a roomy tote with jeans, a shirt and trainers for a clean everyday look. A black or dark brown shoulder bag works well with an oversized blazer and wide-leg trousers when you want a more polished city outfit. The neutral colours make the bags easy to style throughout the year.

For dinner or a party, carry a smaller handbag or clutch with one of the season's dresses and a pair of heels. Tie a scarf around your neck, in your hair or onto your bag handle to add colour and a personal touch. With By Malene Birger, the same accessory can take you from day to evening, bringing an understated Scandinavian feel to your outfit.
